Today.

I grew up a country girl. My dad was a farm hand most of my life. I'm afraid I wasn't able to really do a lot of the farm/ranch jobs hands on. I watched a few and I know the terms. Things like branding, fence building, etc... I have moved cattle. Today I got to feel more hands on:) We don't live on a farm or a ranch, just a small acreage. We have our horses though. Dad had me "man" the pickup so he could put a round bale in the back. In theory it sounds much easier than it was...might have something to do with the steep incline the hay was located on and also the somewhat unreliable tractor. Hmmm. It was nice to help out like that. The stories of Haiti's amazing resilience continue to come through. One . Two . Three . Four . Five . And so many more. I know for some people it is easier to feel sorry and then move on, to not be impacted by this catastrophe. I know I have in the past, when I don't have a close connection. Shame on me.
