The beauty of Nebraska in the late spring and early summer is unexplainable! I love it! Today was absolutely gorgeous! I spent the entire day outside. I mowed the rest of the yard, did part of it last night. I actually found part of the front lawn that I had completely missed:S Dad built a couple of raised bed boxes for mom to put in the garden. Today while she worked off and on, Dad and I mixed all the "ingredients" for the soil to go in them. By "ingredients" I mean, cow manure, sheep manure, chicken manure, horse manure, peat moss, and sand. We had to layer it in heaps on a giant tarp and then mix it around with shovels. Marci and I had a good day together at BBHC. It wasn't terribly busy later in the afternoon so we sat and chatted. We did get statements sent out. Right after work, Mom and Dad picked me up for the Adams Land and Cattle BBQ. They really could have had it outside, the day was beautiful, but... Since it has been overcast and rainy so much lately there just wasn't a sure sign of good weather. I think it went well anyway. The food was good, THANKS RYAN AND LIZ:) They even blocked of part of the street outside and had their blowup, jumping games for the kids. Tonight while Mom was doing Hajda's chores and the kids were at VBS, we wathed Pirates of the Carribean. It was nice. I drew a picture while we watched. I don't do artwork as often as I should. I really like the one I came up with tonight. Alissa
