Four Down!
Yay! I completed my memorization of Hebrews 4! This chapter took me longer. I forgot about it there for a few weeks, but was able to get back on task. It helps that I live 7 miles from town...to work and from work I recite. This week someone asked me why I am doing this memory work. I'll tell you. I feel it is important and it is given to us in Scripture that knowing God's word is important. Equally so, is the use of that Scripture, not just the knowledge but the wisdom. Right now I'm trying to focus on the memorization so I can put it into practice. "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts" --Deut. 6:6 "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads" --Deut. 11:18 "...the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it" --Deut. 30:14 "The law of God is in his heart; his feet do not slip" --Ps. 37:31 "
