Our last and final MOPS meeting until fall. We had a good time and I had a lot of kids. Today was kindergarten round-up so I had a few kindergarteners, making the number 14. It went well despite that and we made it through still smiling:) It was the Moppette worker's luncheon afterwards so we stayed and ate yummies. I love MOPS ladies, Kathy and Kate are great! We didn't get home from that, a visit to the new Pamida, and a stop at GK until 4pm. The kids and I washed my car, it was Quinn's idea. The weather was really good for it too. Brenna and I rode our horses. Flicka is a bit out of practice, she was flat out being a battle-axe. I just wanted a nice relaxing horse ride...it was far from that! Before riding I wrestled for 20 minutes with my windshield wiper blade and I just needed to get that stress OUT! Brenna and Quinn are HILARIOUS!! I came upstairs and walked down the hallway to see them coming down the hall as you see them above. I screamed, it totally startled me!

Back to work...still no office:) It was a pretty relaxed day at the Backbone. With the exception of making phone calls on old PI and WC cases. Ugh! That pretty much sums up my whole day. Oh, oh there are kids that always play on our lawn area and Dr. Hackel doesn't want them to make a huge habit of it....so he turned the sprinklers on!! It was so funny, we watched from the window:) This is one of Quinn's lego creations of the day. Alissa

Just a quick trip, this one was for us. We ate breakfast and chatted with the fam at Sherm and Sonya's before getting back on the road again. No stops at Russell Stover's this time:) Just a trip into DQ. Hehe, I love my family. I knitted and knitted and finished my purple sweater jacket! Hurray! We dropped Zelda off and visited uncle Gene in the heart hospital before continuing on. That got us home around 9pm. So good to be home! Alissa

Wow, the kiddos were not so good on this 4 hour drive. They were in a bit of a funk. We did make it all the way to Excelsior Springs without any injuries;) It was so green down in parts of Missouri. I love seeing spring peeping over the horizon. The 50th anniversary party started at 5pm and we were there until almost midnight. I'd love to say it was a blast, but it was a bit long. I don't know these relatives real well and I haven't seen the ones who are my age since 1999. I did get to hold Kim's 3-week old little boy, Canton. I love babies. It was too loud with the music to have much conversation though. Close to the end, my mom's cousin (a bit drunk there) kept trying to get me to dance. I am not into dancing with folks in that state of mind. I was literally holding onto my chair for dear life. He only tried to get me off once, but I wasn't taking any chances. This is a picture of the crazy kin:) Alissa

Hehe, I'm not sure when I'll actually have "my office" at Backbone. There have been so many glitches so far. Hopefully next Friday! Marci had the afternoon off so I really had to be up front anyway. We'll get it all worked out:) As soon as I got home from work...at 6:30pm, we headed for Lincoln. Tomorrow is my great aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary down in Missouri. We got to see Seth! He came over to aunt Zelda's for a little while once we got there. I miss that big lug. Hehe, we switched hats for this one. Alissa

Oh, the Garden Center. Sometimes when I work there I feel like a complete idiot. I don't know anything about the stuff there since I'm only there one day a week. Arg, I hate feeling stupid...HATE IT! Today's redeeming factor was Bunco. I think we all get there and relax too much, nobody could remember where to go, when to go and whose turn it was:) We were pretty goofy! It was just what I needed. Clara was so kind as to pose for her Bunco portrait:) Alissa
