Oh how beautiful to be joyous when meeting with fellow believers. There was a definite period where I dreaded going to church. I was so defensive and had a wall built. I'm so thankful for the Word of God, God's revelation to us. We went to Dannebrog and Grand Island this afternoon. I love my parents, I love watching them grow in Christ and also watching them interact as friends:) Aren't they precious?:) Have a lovely week. Alissa

Brrr, what a chilly night. I thought that sleeping on the floor next to the heater would have been warmer. We ate our brunch at Hy-Vee today. I love Hy-Vee, I could so work there. This comes from my grocery store experience at the Grocery Kart. The girls started dropping off and heading home after that. Kristen, Liz, Clara and I had a lot of fun poking around Bed, Bath and Beyond. I think Liz even got a few "infomercials" on her camera:) Clara enjoyed another lovely 3.5 hour conversation on the way home. It is great to get to know people better. God is so good and I count it every blessing to know Him. How humbling and yet joyous to know that God looks at me and sees Jesus...not my sinful self. Alissa

What a lovely drive to Omaha I had today. Clara Hajda and I came to meet some young Christian ladies for a weekend of fun. We went thrift store shopping today and then "snuck" 13 girls onto Offutt Airforce Base. We weren't actually breaking any law by getting on, but it sure felt like it. I'm glad I was able to come with Clara. Sometimes I miss Omaha. I am glad that I missed out on church trouble here. One time dealing with that is enough for any person. I'm so happy to be finding joy in the Lord again and in His Word. Reflecting on the last year I see a lot of differences. The last 6 months were times of trying to push away from the Lord and they were trying months. It feels oh so freeing to be back in His embrace, not trying to get free. P.S. Clara is making pizza dough in this picture. I just did the dishes:) Alissa
