Oh, Christmas Tree...Skirt!

The morning we decided to go out and get our Christmas tree, I decided I would make a tree skirt! I pulled out all my Christmas fabrics and had the diamonds and triangles cut in record time! The living room floor was clean and had enough space for me to arrange them just so.  I tried taking my little Janome out there to piece them, but the dog coming home before I would finish talked me out of it! At lunch, I grabbed food and headed out to the hubby working away in the timber. We ate together and then set out to find our tree!  Getting a tree together as a family has always been one of my favorite Christmas traditions. I left him hard at work with the tree stuck in the back of his truck and off I was to finish my skirt. The pattern came in an email from American Quilting & Patchwork.  Merry and Bright Tree Skirt it is called. I stacked each row and took them to the sewing table for the rest of the rows.  I only put them in the wrong order once...which is prett
