Project 366- May 26, 2008

Memorial Day, a day set aside to remember those who served our country and continuing serving our country to bring us freedom. Thank you to all who have, are and will serve!

I had today off. It was a brisk day out and the sun only peeped out for a few hours. Dad came home around noon and got some outdoor stuff done. We moved the school mailbox to our garden. We're going to keep the garden tools in it, mom found that idea:)

We went to Kearney this afternoon to visit Uncle Gene. He had heart surgery about a month ago and is now back in the hospital with pneumonia. Quite a bit of the fam was there, nice to see them too:) I returned some shoes that didn't fit. We got a new, bigger bike for Brenna. Quinn got one for his birthday, but her birthday is in October...not such a good time to get a new bike. They crack me up. We also bought some soil, peat moss and compost at Walmart. Needless to say, the van was pretty full. God was good in granting me short legs because the bike had to ride inbetween my knees and the back of the driver's seat.

Oh, we ate at Culver's for the first time. It was pretty good. The Winn family was there. Hullo Winns!
