When without employment...I sew!

As a part of God's plan for my life...unknown to myself, I am now without a job. My boss at Backbone made some changes to the office and unfortunately I was the one who got the short end of the stick. It is hard and now I'm not looking forward to the job search. I am trying hard to be patient and to trust the Lord's hand in all this.
So, since I have a little more time on my hands...I'm creating purses again. This time they indeed have a purpose. My friend from Pennsylvania is getting married this summer. She has asked me to make purses to give as gifts to her bridesmaids. Here are some of the results:

Her wedding colors are pool blue and truffle (brown). She requested they all be made in those colors.
All the purses are designs I've made before of which she chose from.

I had lots of fun altering the original design to accomplish some patchwork looks for the purses.

So now I have 6 done and 3 more to do. I haven't decided what to do for the flowergirl's yet. She's given me free reign on this one.

I've also started on her wedding present! It is a black and white quilt with lots of blank white space in which I'll do lots of hand quilting.

I love creating things like this! Hey, if you have an idea for a gift I'd be glad to help you out...for a small fee;)

  1. The purses look awesome! I'm sorry to hear about your job. I'm believing God has a plan for this point in your life and that He will continually work to get you where He wants you to be. Praying that He will provide you with opportunities; praying you will be able to discern them and be brave enough to take any risks necessary. Love-Kayla
