Boo On Pity Parties.

We all have a choice, a decision in how we react to things in our lives. Last week, I chose to have a pity party. At first, I was at peace with how this "situation" appeared to be panning out. But then, I let Satan work in my thoughts and it made me depressed. Ugh.
I recently sang Before the Throne with a group of beloved brothers and sisters in Christ and it lifted me and reminded me of where I stand and how I should be focusing my thoughts. I really liked the second verse:
When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end to all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free,
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me,
To look on Him and pardon me.

  2. That verse always hits me because it truly IS Satan tempting me to despair, especially when it comes to my spiritual walk. But God is satisfied because of Christ! Hooray!
