Chicago and an Elephant

Ah, the windy city. My mom and I delivered my sister-in-law, niece and nephew to Chicago this past week. It was a quick trip which involved driving through the night to get there. We all took brief little naps before heading out to enjoy one last day before our departure.
Haha, we spent a lot of the day at Quiznos:) Anywho...
Have you heard the story about the blind men and the elephant? Well, these blind men all take turns describing the elephant after having felt different parts. Their description is nothing like an elephant.
Mom and I came up with some things we observed about Chicago...they are about as correct as the blind men's:D
--Number one: There are no children in Chicago...except in Mayfair Park. Hehe, these even danced for us!

--Number 2: There are no grocery stores in Chicago.
--Number 3: There are no rocks in Chicago.
--Number 4: Parking WILL cost you.
--Number 5: The people at Quiznos are kind and don't care that you stay a long time or come again:)

We really did have a good trip.
The evening we were there we attended a concert in Mayfair Park. It was just a small, community park we located ONLY with help of GPS. One couple shared some ballroom dancing out on the baseball diamond as the band played.
It was a very nice concert, big band music. After our long drive and lack of sleep it was nice to just sit and relax.
We all began to act a little peculiar after being so tired.
Mom and I had a lovely time on the drive home too. It was great to spend time together just the two of us. We even went shopping, which is slightly uncharacteristic.
