Taking Advantage of the Drive!

So, do you see that sign wayyyyy across that dirt area...behind the tractor...no? Haha, neither did I at first. When I took the peeps back to the airport last week I decided to find a way to involve some historical markers. Yahoo!
When I saw all of the construction at this first one, where the intersection was listed as the location, I was sad. I assumed that it would for sure not be there. Trying to be optimistic I drove down the little road a little and I'm soooo glad I did!
Look what was hiding in the tall grass!

I was so excited! I did pray the whole way over the the marker that there wasn't any poison ivy:) I set my camera up on its little cute gorilla pod and set the timer...nothing. Ahhhhh!

I have yet to determine why, but the timer didn't work. Therefore, all marker pictures on this trip are the "self-portrait" kind where you hold the camera out in front of you and hope you get everything in the picture. See.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a marker NOT on my list. These little extra concrete markers are so fun to stumble upon.

Yay, for another one. I hate that they turn out blurry this way, since the camera is focused on me. I'm sure there is some camera savvy way to amend that, but oh well.

Hehe, this one is located ON a golf course. I had to park the car in the entryway of the gated country club community. I was able to manage a picture with out any golfers in the background. And look, another extra! Woot, woot!!

This is random, but check out the size of this solar panel.

I always forget to take a picture of some of my helpers. These little blue signs are GREAT!

I was a little uncertain if I would be able to locate my final marker of the trip. But, once again the little blue sign came to my aid!

This one was on a small gravel road, parallel to the highway, next to an old bridge. So peaceful.

Hehe, this one was a little trickier to get a picture of us both. I had to stand on two of the post around it and take it.

It was a lovely stop to end my marker adventure!
