Life, of late.

My little sister is not so little.
I made a list of all my started projects...I need to finish some.
I started with my t-shirt quilt.  It turned out great!  Here are all the blocks.

I added purple sashing, but didn't have enough of that for the border.  Yay, I purchased the backing so now I need to get it layered for quilting.

Quinn hung out with my while I was sewing one day.  He painted a lovely waterfall scene for his bedroom.

I made a purse for my cousin a few months ago and she requested another.  Here is her bright, sparkly new purse.

I've also been plugging away at my denim/flannel quilt.  It doesn't have any batting and I tried something new with the quilting.  I used a thick thread and did large stitches.  This REALLY hurt my poor arthritic (or whatever is wrong with them) hands.  It is now complete, I need to take a finished picture.

We did something a few weeks ago that we haven't done in years.  I love Nebraska and if I were to follow sports and cheer for any team I would choose the Huskers.  But, I don't truly care much for sports.  Watching them play football is nice now and again.  We went to my aunt's house and watched a Husker game.

In our many trips to Aunt Beth's, dad and Haley formed a bond. Can't you tell he is excited?!

We went and watched Grandma perform in a play for her job.  Hehe, it was very silly.  She's the "blonde" one on the right hand side.

I started this quilt for someone, but I decided to give them something else.  I got it layered and basted.  Yay, I love projects.

Look back at the first picture.  Someone got a haircut!

My little sister is growing up:)

Our dining room table is showing some wear.  My parents got it when they first got married.  I decided it was time to give it a facelift.  So I used the rest of the goop I had to remove the old varnish and polyurethane.

The kids helped me.  We sanded it down.

It is now stained a lovely "oak" color and is so shiny with the new coats of polyurethane.

A new project that I have taken on is a t-shirt quilt for a friend.  Here are the first of the blocks, Jenny:)
