Creating This and That

I haven't blogged much, but that doesn't mean I haven't sewn much:)  I have to get some sewing therapy in at least once a week!   A co-worker got a new purse from someone and loved it...except for the color.  She's a purple lover and she asked me if I could make a similar purse in her color.  Here is what I came up with, given artistic license:)
I actually forgot about my Craftsy Block of the month in May!  I didn't really care for the 2nd block that was for April and didn't make it.  So I guess I lost some of my steam on that.  I did get the may blocks done...just not until nearly the end of the month.
This wonky log cabin block was difficult.  I don't think "wonky" is really my style.
I've been working on finishing up some older quilt projects.  My strip pieced quilt has been sitting a long time.  We had some water in our basement back in April and this quilt got wet.  I wanted to get it washed and that was just the motivation needed to get it finished!  I've left it upstairs to be used as a throw.
I know this isn't a sewing project, but it was still fun!  I made homemade graham crackers!
I bought a One Yard Wonders sewing book and really wanted to try something out of it.  It is time for a new purse and I've had this fun, summery fabric for some time now.  Soooo, I made a new purse!
My Very Hungry Caterpillar fabric arrived and I finished the quilt top for this baby quilt!
This is my wall quilt made from leftover triangle scraps of my contest quilt.  I designed it myself.  I had stopped on the quilting because it was hurting my hands.  Now it is complete!
Mom has located a spot on her wall for this one already!
