To Oz and Beyond

Our reason for descending on Wamego, KS was to visit there very fine Oz Museum.
Brenna has many of the Oz books by L. Frank Baum and this was her input to our trip.
The museum had a visit from many of the Munchkins from the Oz film and they put their hand and footprints in the concrete out front!
The smile seriously never left her face as we went through the museum.
We learned that after Baum wrote his Oz books, they hired a woman to put out a new Oz book each year.  There are like 30-40 of them in all!  Who knew?!

Some of the illustrations from the first book.  One illustrator did the first Baum book and then another took over the rest of his.
A picture of some of the Munchkins.
"If I only had a brain."
More hand and footprints inside.

They did a very good job setting up this museum and of combining the book artifacts and movie artifacts.

We all enjoyed this museum.
After that, it was time to hit the road again.  Quinn pulled out his new Lego set.
We continued to see stone buildings along this road.
I think this was in Marysville.
We crossed 8 tracks!
Home, sweet, Nebraska!
We made it to Lincoln and stopped to see Aunt Zelda and this little guy.
Love my family!
Dad isn't too sure about us though;)  Haha.
