Finish It Up Friday...Ansel's Camping Quilt

Woohoo, I finished a WIP that I blogged about.  It was a Christmas gift for my nephew.
He received a Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt as a baby.  Now that he is EIGHT I thought he probably needed a big boy quilt.
I was in such a hurry to get it mailed off in time for Christmas that I forgot to take a picture of the finished quilt or to label it :S  So pictures from the finished piece work will have to do.
Doing a row quilt was fun and I have 3 more of each block to make something else with now.  I was going to only do 4 blocks across and so I had enough for 2 of the same quilt...but it really needed the extra width of that 5th block.
I put a heart block in the corner because I love him so!
Out cold under his new quilt :)

  1. Great to see it being used straight away - so satisfying when it is given as a gift!

  2. Oh that is gorgeous - I love the use of flying geese for tents against the night sky; it all looks like somewhere you'd really want to go camping!
