A Mystery Trip Adventure!

Last Saturday I got to spend the ENTIRE day with my mom!  It is a blessing to get to spend time with her, especially since I no longer live in her basement!
We hopped on a bus at 6:45am with 48 other ladies from the area for our quilt guild's Mystery Bus Trip!  We were all in the dark as to our destinations.
Our first stop was at the 4-H Camp where we ate yummy rolls and had a potty break.  Next was on to the museum in Alliance!  It was a quick stop, but would be a great place to stop again.  Janet on the right was our planner extroidernaire!  She is amazing!
Our first attempt at getting a group photo...as we straggled out of the museum :)
I love Nebraska!  The beauty of the landscape is so varied!  The beauty of the golden grasses past their green prime was more than I could handle, had to take pictures!
Honestly, the golden hue of the grass and the powder blue of the sky are the colors I would say are Fall in Nebraska!
Mom was hard at work creating more bags for the Christmas Shoeboxes
It was a bus full!  We had guild members and guests alike, all so fun :)
As we traveled, Janet kept us posted on the next stop or activity.
I didn't get any pictures of the two quilt shops we stopped at...the main attraction of the trip for some :)  We went to Pat's Creative out on a farm near Hemingford.  Wow, what a neat treat and they fed us too!

Mmmm, more terrain change!  The next shop we went to was Prairie Pines in Gering.
Whew!  It was a long, full day!
Our return route took us past Courthouse and Jailhouse Rocks.  I went there for my birthday and historical marker hunting a few years back.  Such sweet memories.
That means we went past Chimney Rock as well!  The other two pictures I took of it had a street light and then railroad cross arms...such a contrast.
I don't do fabric shopping very well, so indecisive.  I did bring home a few items from goodie bags and purchases.  The floral print was on sale and will make a fun summer dress.  the bag on the right is a kit for a fun project for my ironing board.

    1. Are you serious!? Yet again, it is a small world. Did they have a good time? You'll have to get in on the next one.
