Laundry Room Complete

I love projects and the feeling of completion that comes when one is done.
As we slowly whittle away at finishing our house I am constantly looking for projects that I can complete.  Most recently I decided to tackle my laundry closet/alcove.
The space is quite a bit deeper than the machines. The plan was to hang cupboards and build a wall part way back to hide the dryer vent and water stuff.
So first on my list was to gather the random 2x4s floating around and build a wall!
There isn't room in the hallway outside of our bedroom so I assembled it in the main room. Then came the task of putting it in place behind the machines. Ideally this would have been done BEFORE we had them in there but whatever.
It would have been comical to watch me manuever it in there, I am sure.
Once in place I discovered it was just a half an inch too tall...ugh. I did my "magic" in reverse order to take it out and shorten the bottom.
My pregnant self had help of course which added to the chaos! Pretty cute help though!
I did it!!
I only had to call my husband once for help, yay! Placement of the wall required unhooking and rehooking up the cold water to the washer. Our cold water doesn't have it's own turn off so I had to shut off our water Main. When I tried to rehook the washer the hoses kept cross threading. That means i couldn't turn the water back on... Haha, my husband said maybe there are some things I should just wait for him on!
Anyway, we made it! The wall is only partial so that the background stuff is still accessible. The tall cupboard is on wheels and can just be wheeled into the hallway. I did have my husband help put up the paneling and hang the cupboards. (He made me promise not to do that alone! Hehehe!)
Here is the final reveal. I hung a curtain behind the tall cupboard. It is a lovely metal cupboard we got on an online auction. The other two are a mismatched set I found at the Restore. I have had them painted for a long time. Feels good to get them on the wall! The one has chalkboard paint on the front.  I got the fun wallpaper from Amazon for a neat touch.
This is my inspiration picture. We ended up with a not matching dryer so I couldn't put a shelf across the top but I am happy with how it turned out!
We will see what gets completed next!!
