Finish It Up Friday...Star Wars Lego Birthday Gift!

I started this project over a year ago.  A Star Wars Lego quilt for my little brother.  I LOVE IT!!
I finally finished the quilt top last Friday.  A lot of late nights this week and I finished it just in time for his 12th birthday!
I bought 3 yds of Star Wars blue print fabric to use for backing and I ended up using it as sashing also.
All 9 figures are paper pieced by my made up design.
It made my brain hurt at times.  I finally decided to just do the heads for the final three blocks.
This is the first one I made, Hans Solo.  I used a Lego man pattern I found online to get started.
My little sister helped me out with embroidery faces.

I did simple straight line quilting within each block.  I didn't do anything in the sashing.
He likes it, although his fake grumpy face says otherwise ;)
Such a fun finish!!
