Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo!

We stayed near Gretna on our little adventure, at the KOA campground.  We actually stayed in this "cabin."
Brenna and I enjoyed the deck each morning.  She knitted.
I read.  This is one of the old books I purchased in Brownville.
One morning we tried out the miniature golf course.
It was a pretty simple course and we didn't actually keep track of our score.
Next it was on to the zoo in Omaha.  First up, the desert dome!

Brenna brought along her little notebook and was writing down everything she saw!
I think these little guys were the inspiration for the old school Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer movie.
Meerkat.
Road runner.  Meep, meep.
Fake lizard!
This guy threw out a piece of mulch while we were there.  Our friend picked up as a souvenir.
We stood and watched this guy for quite some time.  He was howling and swinging all over the place.  I actually recorded his howling and am using it as my ringtone!
Ah, the gorillas.  He jumped up and kicked the glass more than once.  Kind of feel sorry for these guys.

The mountain lion paced and paced and yowled.  I felt sorry for him too, but I hope I never meet one in the wild.
Hehe.

More to come :)
