Boys Room...For Now!

We completed this room a year ago! About time I posted how it turned out! Haha!
The house goes slowly but I celebrate each thing we finish!!
This is our boys bedroom. Eventually they will live upstairs in our loft but while they are little we have them next door.
They both love to "help" with the projects!
We went ahead and made a drop ceiling for this room. As you can see on the right it will hide our dryer vent which is always nice.
Mom, this isn't level...
It is amazing what a difference walls make, and a ceiling! We got cedar paneling for the ceiling, quick and easy. They were about a foot too short so we centered them and added a wide cedar side border.
For the walls we put a thinner pine paneling up half way.
I ordered a tree wallpaper for the upper half and also a green as an accent for the short end walls.
We found carpet remnants at our local furniture store. We couldn't remember how long this piece was...um not quite long enough. We decided to just make a cedar entry!
There is a closet to the left of this picture and a window in the wall to the left too. Not so exciting that I took a picture.
It looked like this a year ago but has already changed a bit. The queen size bed moved downstairs to our new unfinished guest bedroom and a month ago we moved the little guy's crib into this room in preparation for the new baby. Haha, it is also currently housing a bunch of sewing room items as that room awaits flooring installation.

Anywho, thought I would share!

Alissa
